The working power of the mind is fueled by thoughts, ideas, imaginations and rationalization that are brewed in our mind garden. Look around you, the jet planes, the rockets, computers, medical equipments that do amazing procedures, automobile etc… Demonstrate the power of the mind. I believe the mind is the most complex and underutilized creation of our human body that God gave to us. There have been many debates in the scientific community concerning the percentage of the brain that is used. It’s been postulated that we only use about 10 percent of our brain. I live that to them but would base this article on what the scriptures says about our mind.
If what they say is true and that all the technological and scientific advancement is based on ten percent utilization, consider therefore the untapped mental power. W.E. Vine Expository Dictionary of New Testament words says that the mind is, “the seat of reflective consciousness, comprising the faculties of perception and understanding and those of feeling, judging and determining. ”
“The mind acts as a mirror in that it can look back. Millions of people have been looking back and unfortunately become trapped in their past.” In order to break this pattern, the other components of the mind, such as judgment, understanding, discretion and purpose, must be employed” (From my book – My Mind Lord).
Never underestimated the power of the mind, I’ve discovered that if a dominant thought is lodged into your mind good or bad, unless you overthrow it you’ll carry it out. Mind power deals with persistence energy or force guided by the inner power or our will. This strengthens or weakens our resolve on issues, convictions and decisions.
The power of the mind is associated with expressions such as:
- A strong minded-person
- Tough mind
- Powerful mind
- Hard headed person
These four deal with mental toughness and stubbornness in decisive actions, choices made regardless of the possible consequences. A man named Caleb in the Bible at 85 years displayed a very powerful mind when he sought to take the fight to the Anakims. WE read this statement in the scripture, “As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out and to come in” (Jesus 14:11, KJV). That’s the mind power in action.
(a) You can face tough challenges
(b) Energized in the inner fortitude of your will
(c) Amassed mental prowess for daring actions
Points of Note
1. A powerful mind is a mind of purpose which sees victory instead of defeat.
2. Those who acknowledge the Lord in what they do and build their lives on God’s promises are not easily moved in their mind.
3. A powerful mental attitude is an innate quality to be desired by all, nothing stops a person with such mind power.
You cannot let wicked thoughts dominate because of the power of the mind to hatch the dominant thoughts that command attention. Every thought that seeks to rule our mind can be brought into subjection by Christ’s spirit that works mightily in us. As a Christian it’s absolutely necessary that you walk in the spirit in order to break the power and desires of the fleshly mind which is against godliness and uprightness.

Annie, I think that many of the readers of this blog use The Scriptures tloasrntian. It is one of the best for the Hebrew Scriptures, but not as good on the writings of the Apostles. Most of the quotes on the blog are from The Scriptures published by the Institute for Scriptural Research, South Africa. Coming out of the church is a big step for many people. The changes are often revolutionary and dramatic. This will be, as you say, an amazing journey. You will find that some things on this blog that will make the truth plain and sometimes shocking. The focus is on Yahua and His Father (EL) and on the Family (Elohim). But one must not assume that what they learned in the church will carry over. It is a process and Yahua is the Shepherd who will lead you to green pastures and living water. The function of this site is that of the breach maker. He is the one who opens a breach in the wall of the sheep pen to let the sheep out to run to their Shepherd.
